If you are looking for a quick and accessible source for brief bios on a number of Loyalists, Sabine's work is a good place to start.
Not all Loyalists are referenced, but it does make a wonderful place to start. I am using it for my thesis and in terms of brief bios for footnoted individuals, it fits my needs.
The digitized searchability is a plus.
